Behind the scenes of your investment in wedding photography
It’s really interesting to be writing this in 2020 because whilst researching I found a post I had written when I was starting out 6 years ago (!) about the same topic; wedding photography pricing, and people’s expectations compared to what they were willing to pay.
What is Documentary Wedding Photography?
I have a spoken a little bit about styles of photography in my wedding planning blog posts before, what to consider when you are choosing a wedding photographer as there are many different styles out there.
Walthamstow Wedding Photographer
Here are some photos of a little explore we did (in more free times!) to Walthamstow in North East London. I’ve been so keen to visit here since we moved to London, especially the William Morris Gallery. They do weddings there and I would so love to capture one! (hint hint universe)
Kings Cross Engagement Shoot Photography in London
I absolutely loved meeting up with these two ahead of their big day in July! We chose these locations in London as it’s where they currently live, and also they spent a lot of time at Kings Cross Station when they did long distance. We were blessed with a beautiful summery evening despite it only just being March too!
Barbican Shoot in London - Barbican Wedding
I’ve been dying to shoot at this location since moving becoming a London Wedding Photographer so my two pals Laura + Jim kindle offered to be my guinea pigs for it! It is SUCH a strange experience photographer another photographer (I could totally see Laura’s eyes lighting up in certain spots and I had to remind her she is a couple in this situation and not a creative director!)
BEST OF 2019...!
I’m going to open with a cliche here and just say it feels like about five minutes ago I was doing my best of round up for 2018 and yet here I am on the 2nd Jan 2020 (Am I the only one who still feels like it’s a made-up futuristic date?!) attempting to plough though tens of thousands of images to select my absolute favourites.
Making these slideshows is partly about show casing my best work to new couples (obvz) but also it’s a massive reminder to me about a) how far I’ve come as a photographer b) how damn LUCKY I am to meet all these wonderful people and c) that I am actually doing OK as a self employed camera lady bumbling her way through life which quite frankly is how I feel most of the time.
