I met Ben & Naomi last autumn in my favourite coffee shop so we could have a chat about their wedding plans, and I was over joyed when they booked me! They're planning a very laid back marquee wedding at Naomi's Gran's house just north of Shrewsbury with a church ceremony in the village. Their whole plan sounded right up my street, BBQ buffet, garden games, afternoon tea ..!

Nicky & Ric are one of this year's lovely couples, they're getting married at Crown and Sandy on 12th August at a very child friendly laid back pub wedding, and we thought we'd incorporate their lovely three littles ones on their pre-wedding shoot.

We chose Haughmond Abbey and to my shame even tough I'm a Shropshire wedding photographer I've never been here before! The day was unbelievably overcast after a lovely weekend but that definitely didn't dampen our spirt (although it did our socks!)

Ah I love a good old pre-shoot, especially when it means donning a coat to explore the great outdoors! On my way to the location the rain was absolutely hammering down and I was feeling more than slightly apprehensive about staying dry that morning. As soon as I arrived though the sun broke through and after a cuppa Abraham, Victoria and I headed out to the fields surrounding the house to chat about their upcoming Shropshire wedding in August and help put them at ease a bit in front of the camera. It was a fairly animal friendly shoot as one of their dogs came along for the exercise, and we petted a few of their horses too!

Sometimes in life, you gotta deviate from the plan. My plan on Tuesday was get all my accounts up to date, scan in my receipts, really riveting stuff you know. Then I'm driving past a beautiful yellow field near my house and realise I haven't done any shoots in them this year - quelle horreur! So I scrap my finance plans and rope my sister into donning a white dress and frolicking in the field with me - possibly much to the amusement of those driving past. 

So, here is the final instalment of my (what has turned into!) 12 part wedding planning advice series. I've worked really hard in pulling together all the information, hints and tips I've learnt planning my own wedding and working at so many so fingers crossed you've seen some useful info. 

I met Hannah & Henry on the bank holiday Friday in London for their engagement shoot and after realising the park we wanted to shoot in was absolutely teeming with people, we thought the only smart thing to do was to have a few G&Ts in the local pub before heading out. I loved hearing all about their wedding plans for September at Lodge Park and to get to know them a bit better ahead of the big day.

Green Park was where the got engaged so it was wonderful to be able to do the shoot there, we wandered around the green space as well as heading to some of the surrounding streets for a bit more of an urban backdrop.
