Family Photography

My approach is simple: relaxed, authentic and natural family photography.

80% of the way I work is unposed - that means no manic grinning or forcing the little ones into funny poses. The other 20% makes sure I get multiple shots with the whole family in.

I focus on genuine relationships and connections between the family members rather than contriving situations. Think the opposite of a white background studio shoot!

Capturing children in the fleeting moment of how they are that day is really important to me, it’s not about perfection at all. It’s all about documenting family dynamics, siblings playing together and photographing all the energy, love and spontaneous moments that go on.

Involving myself in the shoot and the family is paramount to capture natural images. Playing with a toy trains, getting dirty outdoors, being chief-taster of their grotty garden pies, making up silly stories, or indulging in a game of hide and seek… anything that puts children at ease with me and my camera.

I’m so in love with our photos!

Florence came round and spent a morning documenting our lives; we had such a nice time hanging out and I can’t get over how lovely the shots are.  I’m not always keen on professional family photos but she captured moments of our daily routine that are rarely caught on camera and could so easily be lost.

They are absolutely beautiful and I am so very grateful”

"Just do what you normally do" Flo said - so my 4 year old jumped on her! Un-phased, she played hide and seek with us, Grandma's footsteps and generally ran around with the children, no questions asked. By some miracle she also got us all looking in the same direction and smiling!

A real pleasure of a morning and lasting memories to boot - a total win!”
