As we get ready to leave Chiang Mai tomorrow on the sleeper train back to Bangkok (then heading to the islands) here's a little look back on our second week and everything we got up to. Chiang Mai has been absolutely lovely but I'm ready for some time on the beach and to get out of the city. 

Welcome to the first of my South East Asia travelling posts! Although we technically kicked off our trip in Bangkok, I'm skipping that for the time being as we headed out of the city pretty quick and straight up to Chiang Mai in the north of Thailand. 

As well as being a Shropshire wedding photographer I also photograph other events, including corporate events for businesses, meetings and other occasions in which documentation of the day is required, for promotional use or inside company PR. My style is exactly like my wedding photography; candid, unobtrusive and documentary. This is the perfect style is you are wanting the opposite of cheesy, posed corporate style images - something that sums up your company in a natural and genuine way, and therefore enabling you to communicate and connect with your customers. 

When Stella & Ashlee got in touch and we met up in a Easton pub to chat about their wedding plans, I knew these guys were going to pull off a brilliant, laid back wedding that incorporated all the things they love. Ash works in the coffee industry so of course that was going to feature - in the way of favours (check out the personalised coffee beans!) and also a coffee bar after the speeches! In which Ash even served some coffee herself. Yes I did try it and yes it was amazing! 

I feel very lucky to say that all couples  make me feel welcome when I am shooting a wedding, but these guys went above and beyond. With an intimate wedding of 30 guests I really did feel like one of them and enjoyed myself so much. Bridal prep was different to most I'd experienced before.. Lizzy spent the morning ultra chilled getting into her dress last minute after making her own bouquets from flowers she'd bought from the flower market the day before. A Pinterest inspired colourful collection which actually wins my favourite bouquet of the year award due to the thrifty but beautiful nature of it!
