So.. I'm back! 2 and a half months travelling around south east Asia is over and although I know I'm going to miss the good weather, the cheap food, the endless excitement of meeting and seeing so many news faces everyday, I have to say I am happy to be home. This week has been full of all the mundane back off holiday tasks like washing all your clothes, opening post, catching up on life admin, but also nice things like drinking Yorkshire tea and eating home cooked British food, which we've missed so much.

Elegant Country House Wedding Venue in Shropshire

Last December I got the most wonderful invite through the post, an invitation to spend the evening at Henley Hall, a new wedding venue just outside of Ludlow. The invite promised an evening of cheese and wine and of course anyone who knows me knows that's pretty much all you need to get me somewhere. Unfortunately I didn't manage to make the evening do but I went over in the afternoon to meet the owners Helen & Sebastian and had a tour around the glamorous venue.

Planning my own wedding last year has given me a new appreciation for how god damn exciting is to be getting married, and I seem to have fallen even deeper in love with documenting such an important day .  Its also given me an appreciation for how unbelievably stressful it is to make so many decisions, be asked so many questions, try and keep so many people happy, mediate between families and friends, try not to go completely broke, not throttle each other over the table plan arrangements, and above all try and create a day which the both of you will actually enjoy.

The Venue at Kersey Mill is a beautiful rural Suffolk wedding venue with history that created the perfect space for these guy to celebrate their wedding. Jo waited nervously in the kiln room while Sarah was downstairs, and they walked in separately one by one to fairytale harp music. I love the emotion on both their faces throughout the ceremony, there was a lot of happy nervous giggling! After their confetti shot they hopped into the gorgeous vintage car they'd hired and took 10 minutes to take some photos and enjoy squealing about becoming wives. After the emotional speeches, I left them to an evening of dancing festivities and to devour the exceptional desert table they had laid out.
